Divisions

Four grades, one ladder

Assignment is based on WESPA ratings as on 1 January 2027. Where no WESPA rating exists, KSSA decides using SAI, Woogles or ISC history.

4 days, 33 games. Australian Pairings for the first 25, KOTH for the last 8.
B
1300 – 1649
4 days, 33 games. Same pairing as Division A.
C
Below 1300
2 days, 15 games. Australian Pairings for 9, KOTH for the last 6.
D
Enthusiast / corporate
Strictly unrated players. One day, 5 games

Top 3 finishers of last year's B, C and D divisions must play one division above, regardless of current rating. Organisers may move participants up a division to deliver an optimal tournament experience.

Veteran rates are for players above 65 years; youth rates for players below 18 years. Division D is the Enthusiasts division. Mu Sigma employees play Division D free.
Registration in A, B and C includes KSSA membership for 2027. Fees include lunch, tea-time snacks, tea, coffee and water.

Fill the registration form, then send your fee by UPI to complete the entry. Registrations close 15 January 2027, and no refunds are made after that date.

Fees include lunch, tea-time snacks, tea, coffee and water. The Mu Sigma cafeteria serves vegetarian food only; non-vegetarian options are available elsewhere on campus at your own expense.

Suggested itinerary

  • Day 6 | Depart: Fly onward from Jaipur, or allow extra time to return to Delhi.

Travel notes

  • From Bengaluru: Fly to Delhi; travel between cities by train or a car with driver. Consider flying back from Jaipur.
  • Plan carefully: The Taj Mahal is closed to sightseeing on Fridays. Allow substantial travel time between cities.
  • Shorter stay: With only three days, choose Delhi and Agra. The full triangle is best enjoyed over five to seven days.
